Kodak Specialist Model 2 - half plate/5x7 Camera.
The Specialist 2 was made in Britain for Kodak during the 1950s.
This was a Field, Studio, Copy camera and could also be used as and enlarger so the original owner told me.
The camera has been gave ring dust in its case for over ten years but a move to my new office found it in as good a condition as I left it all those years ago.
I have wanted to use the camera with a Phase One back just for the hell of it for some years but when the IQ3 100 got its new feature the Electronic Shutter I new this was now the time to try it out as I did not know how good the Compound Compur shutters would be after all this time of no use.
So I set it up with one of its Schneider & Co Kreuznach Xenar lenses from the same time the 50's a 210mm f4.5, it was so easy to focus using the 50fm Live Viue and the fire the Electronic Shutter.
The image was taken at f16.5 an 8th second at 50iso with just modelling light from two Profoto heads.
